Touch and Connection

I found myself lying on a table releasing a deep groan, ‘’ This is old’’ she said.

Humans have had the need for touch since the beginning of time. Isolation is now considered a mental health condition. When we hold hands, touch each other, a feeling of welcome and being home is present. If you’re in ’good hands’ the idea of safety is evoked. A high five is a natural part of life. Sending vibes up the arm into the heart meridian with a smack. When we hug our heart chakras touch, blossom. Open a little.

Treating yourself to massage with aches and pains is a great way to have someone hold space for you. The intuitive feeling around the body. Digging deep where necessary. The unwanted stored emotion that can be decades old is released. Spiralling out into the world.

I have been enjoying massage again with my dear friend and recently qualified massage practitioner. Finding space in my body where it might be constricted. Music is playing in the back ground. I find myself travelling back to a time, where women in community,  would provide this as part of daily life. A natural part of the process of living together.

Touch & connection will be part of the classes in the Creative Being course ‘Adventure of The Senses.’ We will be touching upon the heart meridian and mudrahs, through yoga practice. Printing , playing with paint & connecting with the paper. Working together to create something beautiful. You will have time to journal throughout & of course there is always time for tea.

I will look forward to seeing you there. Email me to book. Or go to the classes page and book by clicking the button and this will send you to my email inbox.

Oh and for a wonderful massage go to @couchmassage Lucy is the jam.
