Joy, pleasure & Fun.

The last few weeks I have been searching out joy, pleasure & fun. I realised I was being taught to take life and myself far too seriously. In order to find joy, pleasure & fun I have practised yoga in Adelaide Crescent, worked out how to film myself- self study- svadhyaya- in sanskrit, completed a pop up Yoga Class in St Anne’s Well Gardens. Hilarious I tell you… first it was too hot and the rubber was burning our feet so we moved, then it started to rain. To top it off a bunch of dudes started playing Drill on a boom box and exercising on the bars at the entrance. Aparigraha- non- attachment. It was like a yoga,  gym battle off. All finished off with a delicious coffee.

Dungeness was another highlight, with one of my besties. What a thrilling place where I found freedom- moksha in Sanskrit- walking in the wind. Visited Derek Jarmans Garden there- somewhere I have always wanted to go- decaying sculptures and found object art, then popped to Rye for tea and cake and looked at around the galleries. I have made a hamsa outfit inviting myself back to my sewing machine pure joy with threads- sutras  in sankrit. Balanced & unfurled into floating star on rippled sand in front of the whole beach load of people.

To top it all I have been finalising some ideas with Rosie my fellow yoga teacher for a spiffing- making, movement and meditation workshop especially for you – pretty darned exciting!!!

So where have you found your fun this month? Let me know I would love to have new ideas and try out some other stuff…
